Here’s what’s on tap for the next few months:
_____
On Friday, March 7, Bryson will be performing at George Mason University. This will be part of the ongoing “Funniest College in DC” Contest, the finals of which will be held at the DC Improv on April 16th. This is a great chance to see comics perform before they’ve completely thrown away the chance to earn their right to a more secure and more traditional future - one that will most likely involve healthy relationships, only moderate amounts of drugs and alcohol, and loved ones who speak proudly of their growing lists of life-achievements. Or, maybe they’ll keep trying to be comics. That’s called a win-win, folks.
______
On Thursday, March 20, Bryson will be at Wiseacres Comedy Club in Tysons Corner, VA, closing out a show with he and three other hilarious up-and-coming local acts. Look for Jeff Mauer, Mike Way, and a fourth comic that is TBD to have you laughing in the aisles.
Granted, the showroom at this particular club is set-up so that there are no actual “aisles”, per se’, but rest assured that whatever figurative aisle you can think of, you will be rolling in them (also it should be noted that the club has a history of catching on fire, thus providing an extra layer of confidence to my assertion that you will be rolling on the ground).
_____
On April 9-13, Bryson will be opening up for Ben Bailey (host of Discovery Channel’s ‘Cash Cab’) at the Washington, DC Improv. Check out details on the front page of the site, or just don’t come, because it’s not free, and you’re a cheap bastard. Which most of the people who claim Bryson Turner fan-dom are. But I forgive you.
_____
Bryson continues to make regular appearances at open-mics in various bars and clubs both in and around DC. Feel free to shoot him an e-mail with any questions regarding his upcoming schedule, or just to say hi, as my mother often does, and as former high school teachers occasionally do if they stumble upon this site…thanks for the continued support! Almost famous, indeed! We have now moved beyond a mother-only fan base.
______
Bryson also continues to plot his return to his hometown of Pittsburgh to either do a guest-set or emcee a week at the Pittsburgh Improv. Stay tuned as details emerge regarding the Pittsburgh Improv’s waning resistance to let him do so.
_______________
If you can’t make any of those, then I hope you burn in hell.
_____
On second thought, I merely hope you are able to make it to a show in the future. And I don’t hope you burn in hell. Necessarily.
